Now, if you do not want to go for oldskool trackers, there are trackers such as Renoise

which supports VSTs and plays MODs, and XMs back to my knowledge.

There are also trackers such as Jeskola Buzz, which is essentially the father of Renoise. Same engine, etc.

I won't get that much in-depth with Buzz, but I can go in-depth with the new multi-system tracker Furnace.

There are also trackers like DefleMask, but that is behind a paywall. Furnace is 100% free and has way more systems than DefleMask.
