1. STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - CORE (1992)

A heavy, emotional, and surprisingly diverse debut blending grunge, blues, and alt-rock.
Raw riffs and deep atmosphere make it one of STP's most powerful statements.
2. PANTERA - REINVENTING THE STEEL (2000)

Pantera at full power: groove metal sharpened to a razor's edge.
Pure aggression, massive riffing, and a final album that feels like a victory lap.
3. PANTERA - THE GREAT SOUTHERN TRENDKILL (1996)

Their darkest and most chaotic record, drenched in anger and anxiety.
Harsh vocals, relentless speed, and some of their most intense atmosphere ever recorded.
4. PANTERA - VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER (1992)

The defining groove metal album.
Massive riffs, crushing attitude, and a tight, confident sound Pantera became legendary for.
5. STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN - IN STEP (1989)

SRV's triumphant return after sobriety, filled with fire, soul,
Blues guitar mastery meets heartfelt songwriting and explosive energy. The title, evidently, is named after the 12-step program that AA uses for sobriety.
This has to be one of my top 5's for sure.
6. STONE TEMPLE PILOTS - PURPLE (1994)

A richer, more melodic evolution from CORE with psychedelic touches.
Smooth vocals, deep grooves, and lies gems and popular tunes, such as 'Interstate Love Song', 'Vasoline' and 'Big Empty'.
This is the section for Warrant's recommendations.
